My name is Danny Rudnick. Nice to meet you!
I am a Chemistry and Math teacher at Beacon Academy. Before Beacon I taught Honors Chemistry and Integrated Physical Science at Elgin High School, and before that taught 12-14 Math and Science at Near North Montessori School. I received my Bachelor of Science in Teaching of Chemistry with a minor in Secondary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. In the summer of 2013 I received Montessori Certification from the AMI/NAMTA Orientation to Adolescent Studies.
Besides being a teacher, I am an award-winning close-up magician. I bring this performance energy into the classroom with me everyday. I was able to use my talents to find my passion, and there is no reason why that cannot happen for students in my classroom. My goal is to make chemistry and math engaging by modeling how to think critically while giving my students the opportunity to exhibit their unique talents as they explore the world around them.
